Leuprolide is used to overstimulate the body's own production of certain hormones, which causes that production to shut down temporarily. It reduces the amount of testosterone in men or estrogen in women. It is used in men to treat the symptoms of prostate cancer.

Advice & Tips: During the first week after my first injection, I slept & napped a lot: 14-16 hrs/day. The sleepiness lessened as the week passed, and then I was back to normal.

Dosage: 22.5 mg/3 months Every 3 months
Advice & Tips: Major negative side effects are fatigue and sexual dysfunction. Others include hot flushes,weight gain,loss of much body hair,increased risk of diabetes and osteoporosis. These effects have been a negative for me but generally manageable in my case. The addition of Casodex and Avodart have not increased these negative side effects for me.
