Venlafaxine is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). It affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression. It is used to treat major depressive disorder, anxiety, and panic disorder.

Dosage: 300 mg Daily
Advice & Tips: This was my 3rd try for a depression med. I have now been on in a majority of 18 years. It just works for me when I take it correctly. Don't suddenly stop, you must taper. It is really uncomfortable if you stop suddenly.

Dosage: 37.5 mg Daily
Advice & Tips: I had to go down in dosage because it was affecting my sleep. It is also the reason I increased my trazadone (from 50 to 100mg).
