Zidovudine, also known as AZT, ZDV and azidothymidine, is an antiretroviral agent used for treatment of HIV infection in combination with at least two other antiretroviral agents. As a monotherapy it is used for the prevention of maternal/fetal HIV transmission.

Advice & Tips: AZT was not as bad as I thought it was be. I would go back on it if I had to. I am stopping because my arms starting really thinning out (veins showing), and AZT may be the culprit.
