Generic name: Imilecleucel-T

Tovaxin is an experimental treatment which uses patients' own immune cells (T-Cells) as a vaccine. Cells which attack the myelin sheath in MS are isolated, irradiated to prevent replication, and then reinjected to cause the healthy parts of the immune system to defend the myelin sheaths from attack.
