Advice & Tips: The rec center was closed for a few months and I am out of the habit of swimming. I was going to "therapy swim" with my little plastic covered chart of hip exercises after my hip replacement. I bought some ankle weights designed for swimmers and never got to try them out. Soon, maybe. When the virus is under control. The burden is always the dressing and wet stuff and all. However the relaxation I feel in my body after swimming is so pleasant.

Advice & Tips: Whatever exercise you ENJOY, do that one, even if it means skipping some other exercise. If you enjoy your exercise you are much more likely to continue doing it. The real benefits from exercise accrue when you continue it for a very long time (many years) and when you do it very vigorously. I believe swimming has moderated or minimized my symptoms over the last 12-15 years.
