Prunes, known as dried plums in the US, provide potassium, soluble and insoluble fiber, phytochemicals that function as antioxidants as well as some iron and Vitamin A.
Advice & Tips:
I used prunes in a stewed forml I often didn't have the time to stew them. (Bad excuse.)

I take stewed prunes, about 5 - 10 nightly, as needed. It tends to make me gassy and because of this, I do not socialize until the gassiness disipates. It does seem to loosen the stool. Little impact. It was not prescribed by my MD who thought it would not help. I decided to take it on my own.
