Fludrocortisone is a synthetic corticosteroid. It is used primarily to replace the missing hormone aldosterone in various forms of adrenal insufficiency such as Addison's disease and congenital adrenal hyperplasia. It is the first line of treatment for orthostatic intolerance.

Advice & Tips: I've been having horrible, debilitating headaches. I only realized it may be a side effect of this medication after taking it for several weeks. I'm going to call my doctor today. And I'm not going to take it. So, I would advise others to be aware of any changes in their symptoms.
