Advice & Tips: 2/2010 Noticed sore, swollen lymph nodes in right groin along with increased localized site reactions on right side. Was referred to oncologist, had sonagram which revealed several more enlarged nodes. After being followed for several months by the oncologist, and talking with the specialty pharm, it was determined that the nodes were reacting to the Copaxone (7% of user experience this "rare, but serious" side effect) and it was ok to continue taking the Copaxone for now. Another one of those possible pluses outweigh the negatives for me.
Cost: $100-199 monthly
Side effects: injection site reaction, lipodystrophy (lipoatrophy or loss of fatty tissue)

Advice & Tips: I have been having doubts about all the CRAB's. IMHO Copaxone is pretty nasty stuff...anything that dimples the skin i.e kills the skin/fat cells, and does not get better can't be real good for ya. I never could really tell if it helped or I just got better on my own. After the bad relapse starting in Jan, nothing helped. Thats why I started the plasmapheresis and I have not felt this good in years. Praise God.

Advice & Tips: This is the only one of the so-called "disease modifying drugs" that did not make me sick. However, it did not slow my progression. MRI from onset in 1997 to MRI in 2009 showed no "modification" of disease. Same lesions, some a bit healed but new ones appeared in there place.
Side effects: no visible efficacy as seen on MRI
