Advice & Tips: My GERD is due to obesity. Coped with Prilosec/Omeprazole until recently extreme acidity began showing up in stools, and heartburn happened every week or so. I always took one in the morning and one in the evening. I switched to a previous script that has always worked in the past but was not covered under previous medical coverage.

Advice & Tips: I'm on this "off-label" because the bottle says 1 a day and I take 2. Nexium is too expensive and I'm uninsured until June. I would recommend this as a first stop for some patients, however, as the OTC is much cheaper than the pharmaceutical variety of the same strength.

Advice & Tips: I was told I had acid reflux, so I was given this treatment. Sometimes it didn't help at all. Later I went to a differet doctor and was told I didn't have acid reflux so quite taking the treatment.

Advice & Tips: I didn't realize what I was having was a reflux. I didn't feel like my food was coming back up. I just had pain in my chest. I went to the emergency room the first time this happened and was told the heart was fine. The primary doctor said it was reflux.

Advice & Tips: I noticed some muscle pain while taking this. When I ran out of it. I noticed they eased up considerably for some reason anything I take that affects muscles in anyway I have side effects some severe. So this is probably just something with me and not the medication itself.
