Advice & Tips: I stopped Mirapex to try Mirapex Extended Release. Mirapex ER has been less effective. I have a mild tremor all the time now. It is like the Mirapex ER has taken out the highs and lows to give me a steady dose....but I think I prefer having those highs...when the Mirapex is definitely working to lessen the tremor.

Advice & Tips: It helped with stiffness and rigidity when walking. I still had tremor on my left hand. Although i was taking Nuvigil for wakefulness, I was still tired. I was tired of being tired.

Advice & Tips: I am just starting out with Patients Like Me so my med history will begin with what I am taking now. I have taken Mirapex since I was first diagnosed with P.D. but I can't tell you how much earlier. Today I take 1 mg. of Pramipexole DIHY at 6 a.m.and 1 1/2 mg. 3 times a day.

Advice & Tips: Meripex worked to ease my tremors at first but after 7 months it took more and more of the drug to get any result at all, it never did stop the body jerks which was and is my # 1 problem, The cost is high even with insurance. would I recomend it - - -in my case NO

Advice & Tips: Hope to get off merapex asap, the drug does not stop the body jerks and tremors to my satisfaction, I take sinemet three times a day and zI can see inprovement, Meripex doesn't show me much other than another expense.

Advice & Tips: On the 13th I bumped up to 6mg. So far I cannot attest to any benefit or side effect (except the insomnia and sleepiness like Requip. Watching closely to the BIG side affects that I've been warned about. More later.

Advice & Tips: I just started Mirapex ER April 9, 2010. I will keep a weekly update to let you know what happens. This is a switch from 24mg Requip XL to 3mg going up to 6mg Mirapex ER. I should not experience any of the sickness because my brain is already used to 24mg agonist. Dr Dewey says I still need to watch out for the compulsive side effects, "they can start at ay time".

Advice & Tips: I took Mirapex from time of first diagnosis with PD in March 2008. Stopped cold in March 2009 because of massive side effects, then discovered I had RLS. Continued to take small dose of Mirapex before bed for developed RLS. Tried several times to quit but could not because RLS became unbearable. Finally quit for good on April 20, 2010. Within days severe RLS subsided and almost completely disappeared! My conclusion is that it is reasonable to assume Mirapex gave me the very condition it treated . . .
