Advice & Tips: Gabapentin helped my pain A LOT. With improvements in diet and lifestyle and lowering my stress level I've been able to gradually decrease my dose from 1200 mg a day to 300-600 mg a day. I experienced minimal side effects from this drug. My mother also has fibromyalgia (she has peripheral neuropathy as well) and has had a very good response to it also.

Advice & Tips: it is better than Lyrica for me and NO side effects. I didn't loose weight but i didn't gain any either.....like Lyrica, did to me.

Advice & Tips: Seizure-free. Try different meds until you find a treatment that works for you. Gabapentin is processed through your system and not in your liver, so it's less toxic. Expensive without insurance. Generic not as effective. Don't care to hear how equal generics are, because they aren't. Period. They are a lessor researched medicine designed to make profits for drug companies.

Advice & Tips: This med makes you feel disconnected from the world for the 1st 3 weeks then you start to adapt, I took 1 1oo in the am and 3 at night, seemed to allow me to sleep off the worst of the side effects the med did relieved 85% of the pain.
