Advice & Tips: Lyrica ALWAYS takes my pain away immediately! I honestly have severe pain so I like to make sure that I have 1 to take at night so when I wake up, I am not in pain. I just don't know what I would do without this medication. At first, when I took one, I felt kind of like I was "high" ; ) But after 1 or 2 days that feeling went away and now it's like popping an aspirin but much stronger.

Advice & Tips: Lyrica is still the very best medication I've had for my pain. I've had a new medication added for the breakthrough pains I sometimes get during the day.

Advice & Tips: I actually like the higher doses of Lyrica for my pain but I asked my doctor if I could take 3 instead of 2 so I wouldn't have any pain in the mornings at all so he lowered my dose to take 3 times a day. He should have kept me on the highter dose but he acted like that was way too much. Apparently he still hasn't realized how bad the pain is!

Advice & Tips: Lyrica was VERY effective for FMS pain initially. I took it for about 3 years and did have quite a bit of weight gain, but it was worth the decrease in pain. It seemed to lose its effectiveness a bit as time went on and for the last few monts I started to have severe stabbing pricking pains all over my body that went away after I quit taking it....as my doctor suspected it was a new side effect of the Lyrica that I developed. I was thankful for the effectiveness during the time that I took it, but it seems to have run its course for me.

Advice & Tips: The medication suppressed my ability to tell when I had eaten enough. I am already overweight and didn't need to eat until I was so stuffed I felt sick. However if I would experience that same kind of pain again, I would take it.

Advice & Tips: Taking too mush made me really stupid, I backed the dose down, from 225 to 150, fearing the pain would return, but it didn't, and i can think clearly! :o)
