Advice & Tips: Prior to the Lyrica, I was taking Gabapentin. I felt the Gabapentin was making me as miserable as the MS. My doc switched me to Lyrica and what a difference! I didn't realize just how sick the Gabapentin was making me feel. The Lyrica helped with the cold burning sensation the Lhirmeets symptom, and the tingling in my hands. I started to feel human again and had energy back! I am now on the 600mg which is the highest dose my doc prefers to prescribe. I am having more break through recently, but I am also in the midst of a relapse. Lets see how it does when and if we get this relapse under control. Even with the slight break through I don't know what I would do without my Lyrica!!!

Advice & Tips: I was originally taking gabapentin for the burning/pain in my right leg, and right hand. I did not like the way gabapentin made me feel, and I didn't like the side effects, that were supposed to wear off, but I didn't feel like it did. I started on Lyrica at the 50mg. 2x's a day, am and pm. I did start to notice a slight difference, but after a short time I upped my dose, (doc's permission to experiment) to 100 mg 2x's a day. I definitely noticed a difference! The only side effect I really noticed was it was affecting my moods. I was going through some stressful events and it made me more edgy and easier to anger. That seems to have passed. I feel more energetic and it has also helped with my spacisity. I love taking Lyrica, it has made such a difference for me!

Advice & Tips: I began taking Lyrica to replace the treatment of gabapentin. I am not on a full dose yet, am starting out low to adjust my body to it to avoid side effects, so I have only noticed a slight difference so far.

Advice & Tips: Lyrica helped a lot with pain until i started taking LDN, now that most of my pain in under control, the weight gain side effect and loopy, slow blrain side effect is just too much to handle.

Advice & Tips: When I first started taking this medication and also when the dosage was increased I suffered from Blurred Vision. This went away after a couple of days. I find it has increased my fatigue significantly. I am able to do more in my daily life than I have in the past 2 years. I still have pain every day, but it is pain that I can live and work with. I just have to work on the fatigue now.

Advice & Tips: Keep taking it at least once a day, even if pain subsides - it is harder to get the pain and tension to go away once pain starts. This was the first pain reliever EVER to help significantly without narcotic effects.

Advice & Tips: i would be very careful going too high on doseage, i was ok on 75mg x 3 times a day, but when i went up to 100 mg x 3 daily, i actually felt worse than before i started.

Advice & Tips: i would advice people to give lyrica a try because i haven't had any side effects so far, and have been on it a couple of months now. since the dr upped my dose to 175mg a day i am not having naps during the day either

Advice & Tips: the first couple of nights i had problems getting to sleep, till 5am but now it it about 1am which is a lot better and i not drowsy during the day like i was with gabapentin. so that is a good thing. and my hip pain is a lot better than it was.

Advice & Tips: i am only taking lyrica at night so far, as the dr told me to do it gradually. the only thing i have found is i have having a lot of trouble sleeping at night, not getting to sleep till about 5am. which is worse than i was before but i am trying to stick with it.
