Advice & Tips: Lyrica is also very useful for short term treatment of Panic Attacks. It works just as good as most benzo's, but looses its efficacy quickly over time (just like benzo's). Withdrawal symptoms can develop after long term use (over 8 months) when stopping abruptly, but they are not near as bad as benzo withdrawals, but still pretty bad. Works alright for my fibromyalgia, but seems to stop working after a period of months and i have to increase the dose.

Advice & Tips: I have only just started taking this medication and at the moment I am having alot of side affects. I am finding that this medication is making me feel very drowsy, I am also finding that I am dropping things alot, finding that I am unsteady on my feet and it is making me feel sea sickness.

Advice & Tips: After I got past the side effects (approx. 3 1/2 weeks), I felt great. Slept well, good energy level. I wasn't warned about the possible weight gain and I am on blood pressure medicine - I gained 10 lbs. I could eat and eat and eat and never feel full. I was mountain bike riding and other activities, but still I gained weight. Finally, the medicine just stopped working. I got discouraged and stopped taking it abruptly - bad idea! Withdrawl symptoms were not pleasant.

Advice & Tips: I picked up the medicine from the pharmacy, went home and ate and then took it. I was hurting pretty bad because I had been up most of the night with my 4 year old daughter coughing. My pain is worse when I don't get enough rest. I could tell about two hours after I took it that my pain was significantly decreased. I felt really good for the first time in a very, very long time. I was sooooo happy!!

Advice & Tips: I was put on the titrate dose to end up taking 50mg twice a day, but it made me sick to my stomach, so the doctor changed it to 25mg twice a day and I don't feel sick anymore, but I still hurt.

Advice & Tips: Lyrica ALWAYS takes my pain away immediately! I honestly have severe pain so I like to make sure that I have 1 to take at night so when I wake up, I am not in pain. I just don't know what I would do without this medication. At first, when I took one, I felt kind of like I was "high" ; ) But after 1 or 2 days that feeling went away and now it's like popping an aspirin but much stronger.

Advice & Tips: Lyrica is still the very best medication I've had for my pain. I've had a new medication added for the breakthrough pains I sometimes get during the day.

Advice & Tips: I actually like the higher doses of Lyrica for my pain but I asked my doctor if I could take 3 instead of 2 so I wouldn't have any pain in the mornings at all so he lowered my dose to take 3 times a day. He should have kept me on the highter dose but he acted like that was way too much. Apparently he still hasn't realized how bad the pain is!

Advice & Tips: The medication suppressed my ability to tell when I had eaten enough. I am already overweight and didn't need to eat until I was so stuffed I felt sick. However if I would experience that same kind of pain again, I would take it.
