Advice & Tips: NOTE: Prior to my surgery (left temporal lobectomy) I did NOT have a problem with Trileptal (at least not that I know of). But shortly after surgery (October 14, 2008) I had a major problem that put me back in the hospital for a week. Somehow the Trileptal was making my body need salt really bad. I was sooooooo out of it. Tired, sick; very scary. But the doctors figured it out and took me off of Trileptal and I fairly quickly got better. Had to keep having my blood tested at least a couple times a week for many weeks.

Advice & Tips: After my left temporal lobectomy I became negatively affected by Trileptal. It affected my salt level in my blood and I went back into the hospital for about a week.
