  • Effectiveness
    Slight (for pain)
  • Side effects
    None (for Overall)
  • Adherence
    Never taken as prescribed
  • Burden
    Very hard to take
Dosage: 4 g Daily
Advice & Tips: Due to the location of my injury, it's impossible to apply the gel by myself. Someone else needs to don gloves, measure the gel dose and apply it. If it are easier to apply it myself, adherence wouldn't be an issue.

  • Effectiveness

  • Side effects

  • Adherence

Advice & Tips: Originally prescribed by a foot doctor for Planter Faschi. He also recommended Superfeet hard insoles and recommended against daily use of this antiinflammatory. After a job change to a more physically strenuous job I started taking it more often, then daily, for lower back and shoulder pain. I noticed blood coming from my rear end so I do not take it at all now. I do take Advil some and increased my Chiropractic adjustments to every weeks.
Cost: $25-49 monthly

    Major (for anti inflammatory)
  • Side effects
    None (for Overall)
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
    Somewhat hard to take
Dosage: As needed
Advice & Tips: I got this from a Podiatrist for Planter Faschi, along with some hard arch supports. He said not to take it forever, as I have enough stuff going through my liver, but I still have some left over and it helps unusual pains from unusual strains.

Jan 25, 2014 (Started Jun 30, 2012)

  • Effectiveness
    Slight (for tendinitis)
  • Side effects
    None (for Overall)
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
    Somewhat hard to take
Dosage: As needed
Advice & Tips: I haven't had any nausea with the gel. I honestly don't Remember if I ever took an oral form of this. I will have to go back & look at my records. The difficulty i have using it is because i can't always reach the areas that need it, you need to make sure you rub it in well & it's dry before putting socks on & it flakes off a bit when your rubbing it in. I haven't found it that effective for the pain, but does reduce some swelling caused by inflammation. I prefer compound creams and lidocaine patches. It sometimes makes that area of my skin softer, which is definitely a plus :)
