Advice & Tips: Did not have any particular symptom that Ativan helped. I took at bedtime along with many other med's. No way to determine it's individual role in my propensity to awake early or not fall asleep altogether.

Advice & Tips: On one hand I'm glad my doctor could some what manage my anxiety with the ativan till she could get me on another medication (zoloft), but on the other going off of it was difficult and the side affects of ativan almost counteract the treatment itself...my opinion is that it is good as a take as needed pill not a daily regimen.

Advice & Tips: This medication is extremely addictive, and shouldn't be taken for a long period of time, it should be used as needed, because once you get addicted it is very difficult to end. I'm currently in the process of going off of it, and I'm having withdrawals such as anxiety and headaches. Some unexpected side affects of this medication is eyesight issues(floaters and trouble focusing) tension headaches(pulse in the head, pressure unbearable) and sluggishness. It's extremely annoying to take it three times a day, since it only lasts six hours, and you feel the side affects fairly shortly when you skip a dose. I'd say overall that I regret having this treatment and it's caused more trouble than help.

Advice & Tips: This medicine can be takin during the day, but only in small amounts. Otherwise you will be asleep and out of it at your desk! Its great to take at night! Lets you sleep!
