Advice & Tips: Like any antidepressant, you (doctor & patient) have to determine what works for you. I was on various doses of Prozac for several years, but its effect eventually wore off. My psychopharmacologist switched me to Wellbutrin in 1997 and I've been on various doses of it since. Wellbutrin works on the dopamine system in the brain, so I'm curious how it relates to PD (if it does at all).

Advice & Tips: I started Wellbutrin in 1989, before there was a generic. It worked very well for me until a couple of years ago, when I became convinced it was doing less for my depression, and more to make me anxious. My healthcare provider agreed that was a reasonable assessment. When I started Latuda, and it was a success, we decided to titrate off the Buproprion. I have not had difficulty since I quit it, although my anxiety level is still a little high.
