Advice & Tips: If you are the type of person where you are a bit nervous naturally, on edge, then this anti-depressant is not the right choice for you. It is very popular as it works with dopamine, but for me it didn't help me as much as it made me constantly nervous, and I would go through extreme sweating from time to time especially a couple hours after I would take it. As I reflect back, I would get a lot of anxiousness, and had a hard time being in groups, which was never a problem prior.

Advice & Tips: Very large drop in appetite when switched from XR to SR. Also difficulty sleeping about 5 nights after switch. Does seem to increase energy somewhat, but does not eliminate fatigue. Advice & Tips: Think this has caused decline in appetite. I believe it is an SNRI, which works on the dopamine system. I think my dopamine system is more off kilter than my serotonin system. This drug has worked for me in the past as well and I have minimal side effects.

Advice & Tips: I found the information posted at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/Wellbutrin_vs_Generic_Bupropion/wellbutrin/ Update: 1/30/08 (now outdated) and http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/ to be most helpful as I chose which generic brand to use and which form to take. The 24-hour time-release form was a great idea but the dose became too strong for me. The original form became the best choice so I could cut the dosage to the amount I needed. I discontinued using Bupropion because I no longer needed any on a regular basis. My mood fluctuated too much, so when I was "up", Bupropion raised my mood too high. Bupropion definitely bumped me up from depression! I felt so good and such relief when it first kicked in!

Advice & Tips: 150 mg. is usually too much for me. 100 mg. was too little. I read that treatments for overdosing include ventilation (so I get out in fresh air), activated charcoal ( I always have some on hand), and meds like the clonazepam that I take (so I increase my daily dose). If I don't address the overdose, a migraine results.

Advice & Tips: Been taking this every day since last winter, helps to take the edge off, does not take the pain away, but definitely makes it more tolerable. helps with energy level. Medicaid screwed up my paperwork, so going cold turkey on this and like four other meds. Not sure which withdrawals are from what, but I feel like hell. Pain through the roof, depression, exhaustion. Very difficult. Hope they get it fixed soon, though I am not sure which meds I will continue, I am afraid of this happening again, and I have been completely non-functional for over a week now.

Advice & Tips: Very depressed, very tired, totally out of focus. No use taking an AD when it makes you more depressed, especially after 8 weeks. Went off of it cold turkey and never looked back.

Advice & Tips: This version of Wellbutrin drops out half way through the day and I get severe depression for about an hour then I go back to a low level depression. Helping remotely. Switched to Wellbutrin SR to level the med out throughout the day.

Advice & Tips: I started this medication in January at an initial dose of 150mg a day. I experienced some mild shakiness that lasted for a few days and was then gone in less than a week. I just increased my dosage to 300mg/day and again I am experiencing the mild shakiness as before, but this time with a mild headache as well. My doctor prescribed this antidepressant because it is supposed to give you energy and that is exactly what I need. I found out it must work in that respect during a snowstorm when I could not get refills. Without it I was lethargic and slept most of the day.
