Jan 15, 2016 (Started Jun 30, 2012)

  • Effectiveness
    Moderate (for Pain)
  • Effectiveness
    Moderate (for fibromyalgia)
  • Side effects
    Mild (Lightheadedness)
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
Not at all hard to take
Dosage: 100 mg Three times daily
Advice & Tips: Don't wait until you are miserable with pain before taking. If I wait that long I won't get as much benefit and it will take longer to feel it. Even when I take it when I'm only feeling slightly uncomfortable, it can take at least an hour  before I begin to notice the effect.

Advice & Tips: I am sensitive to medication so start with a low dose. No side effect, then slowly increase. With extra strength tylenol and Lyrica my down hill slide stopped. The pain edge lowered from a 6 out of 10 to a 5. I have increased the short acting tramadol 50 mg ( Ultram ) to 3x@ day. I have added long acting tramadol (100 mg) (tridural) 1 @ day. Pregabalin 75 mg (Lyrica) 1 @ day is what stopped the down hill slide. Each day the pain is less. Unfortunately I was more active and blew my bad knee so I am in cast and crutch I am taking Recovery for knee repair. I have a knee replacement on Jan 24

My Tramadol dose as over recommended (manfcturer) amts, but, when I did take the high doses, my pain level was SO much decreased and it reduced the amt of Vicodin required for breakthru pain.
