Advice & Tips: I HATE SSRI's-----they are a new "fad" group of anti-depressants; I've tried several (Effexor, etc) ALL w/ severe bad side effects. I believe that the "old" tricyclic drugs are more effective! Started w/ Amitriptyline in 1984 I proceeded to "try out" every antidepressants from A to Zyprexa. Resistant to drug therapy, so they tried ECT's----which stole 4 years of my life I don't have any memory of!
