  • Effectiveness
Moderate (for trying to get scrip - delay progression)
  • Effectiveness
    Moderate (for slow deterioration)
  • Side effects
    Mild
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
Not at all hard to take
Dosage: 10 mg Daily
Advice & Tips: increased mental alertness, less fatigue than normal, slight decline in fvc [2%]. initial effects similar to too much caffeine but only lasts 48hrs. currently on 10mg in am, 20mg in pm with no effect on sleeping on cpap - actually, sleeping better. dietary change around the same time to increase protein intake via drink supplements and eating more. much less fatigue but still in a chair most of the time. can still just get up and walk flat and level with a stick a little way - surprised because last week i thought it was all over for walking. fascics still there but not so noticeable.
Cost: $100-199 monthly

  • Effectiveness
    Can't tell (for Preserve memory)
  • Side effects
    None
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
Not at all hard to take
Dosage: 10 mg Daily
Advice & Tips: Very easy to take, no adverse side effects. It didn't cause nausea like Aricept did for several weeks (it did subside). My neurologist found some info on possible adverse indications from taking it and encouraged me to stop so I did reluctantly.
