Advice & Tips: use of a walking stick helps keep my posture erect. I don't feel like I'm leaning on it as much as when using the cane. Use it if you need. The walking stick looks cooler [I think]

Advice & Tips: Try out several different types of canes. The strangest looking may turn out to be the best "style" for you. If having sensory issues with hands, make sure to try handles made or covered with different types of materials.

Advice & Tips: I have difficultly in using the cane on some days due to my hands/wrists going numb or weak or tingling with use. It also can cause my left shoulder to start hurting and causing a fire like burning and sharp stabbing pain.

Advice & Tips: Try out different handle types and styles, especially if you have sensory problems with your hands. Different quad canes have different weights, Heavy canes can be burdensome if you are weak. This can also affect your coordination, I got my foot tangled up in the quad foot multiple times.
