Advice & Tips: I can no longer use a manual wheelchair because of the sensory neuropathy. I have lost the feeling in my hands now so I cannot push the wheelchair. My doctor ordered an electric wheelchair for me.

Advice & Tips: SINCE BEING DIAGNOSED WITH PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY, I HAVE TO USE THE WHEELCHAIR ON A DAILY BASIS AND WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I GO OUT. MOST OF MY FEET HAVE LOST FEELING, AND PARTS OF MY LEGS ARE NUMB. I HATE BEING IN A WHEELCHAIR.

Advice & Tips: After 5 knee surgeries, my doctor got me the wheelchair. My legs have also felt weaker, but my husband can still take me out. We couldn't go if I just had my walker.

Advice & Tips: The manual wheelchair worked great for 2 years. Now my arms are too weak to push, and my upper back is too weak to allow me to stay seated in the chair, even with a very high back. Had to move to a permobil power chair with tilt and recline.
