Advice & Tips: Added this to Lexapro after reading about the STAR D trials. Lexapro was a miracle compared to my untreated MDD but did not give me complete relief. I had previously tried this drug before alone for MDD but stopped due to nausea and vomiting. Tried it as an add on and it again made me sick. However, I had had more unpleasant med experiences since the last time I had tried it, so I kept taking it regardless. The vomiting and nausea side effects went away after about 10 days. I think it is great with Lexapro since the two drugs side effects seem to cancel each other out. Lexapro made me want to sleep 10 hours a night. Wellbutrin wants to give me insomia. Together = 7 hours of sleep a night. Lexapro wants to give me constipation while Bup wants to give you the runs. Together = totally normal. Lex wants me to eat everything and bup wants me to never eat. Together = normal weight.
