Advice & Tips: The doctor did not tell me I would have a dent in my arm after surgery. When I did, she said that they could fix it with cosmetic surgery after the radiation and that it would be covered by insurance to do so. After the radiation they denied ever saying that and 6 years later I had a cosmetic surgeon touch it up and smooth it out on my own. The scar will always be there, but I'm not bothered as much by the scar as the dent. The scar is about 4 - 5 inches.
