  • Effectiveness
    Moderate (for For my Dr.)
  • Side effects
    None (for Overall)
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
    A little hard to take
Dosage: 20 min Daily
Advice & Tips: I have trouble putting into words my feelings when I talk. I also have problems remembering how I have been feeling. Writing this down helps convey my thoughts and feelings before I forget them. It's almost like talking to someone. I find it helps me and would tell anyone to at least give it a try for a month. I have been doing this since 10/09. I never go back and re-read or change anything. On page 179

Advice & Tips: I write just like I was talking to my Dr. I put the time I go to bed how I slept (if any) what I did during the day. My short term memory is awful so I have to write several times a day or I will forget how I was feeling or what I did. I write down what makes me mad, the frustrations of memory loss and depression and other mental problems. I also write down my physical problems, some days are better than others, but if I didn't write it down I could never remember. I always feel better after writing about it if I have had a bad day or moment. One thing I don't do is go back and re-read what I wrote. I keep it for about 2 weeks then I see her (Dr.) I print out what she has not read yet, then I come home and make all the text white. I still have all I have wrote, I just think it's a good idea not to re-read it myself. I started this last October (2009) and I'm on page 110.
