Advice & Tips: I had been receiving 200 units for the last 4 years prior to Jan 2017. The dose got decreased to 155 units which has proven to be minimally effective. Currently the new headache clinic that I'm seeing due to an insurance change, is checking into if an exception can be offered to see if they can dose at 200 units or not.

Advice & Tips: I actually receive my Botox injections every 10 weeks instead of every 12. I've been getting them that frequently since summer 2013. The medication seems to wear off quicker for me than it does others. They always say it takes roughly 7-10 days to kick in, however mine typically take about 3 weeks before it kicks in.

Advice & Tips: Generally I am sore at the injection sites for a day or so. I usually take a dose of migraine medication prior to the injections, because I have found that most times I will end up with at least a mild migraine. Definitely avoid all NSAIDS for a couple days beforehand to avoid bruising at any of the site.
