Advice & Tips: This was the second time I used this med. Several years before, I took it and was able to quit smoking for about 6 months. This tie I reported a side effect of depression with suicidal tendencies as I ended up in a psych unit and my psychiatrist blames the episode on the Chantix, however, I believe that other factors had more to do with it than the Chantix. I do intend to try it again sometime in the future (4 to 12 months from now).
