2 patient evaluations for Lidocaine

Aug 30, 2010 (Started Jul 15, 2010)

  • Effectiveness
    Major (for anesthesia)
  • Side effects
    None
  • Adherence
    Never taken as prescribed
  • Burden
Not at all hard to take
Advice & Tips: I was given lidocaine as a Bier block during hand surgery. Post-operatively, I had no fibromyalgia pain for 3-4 days. The effect was immediate. My pain specialist has since prescribed mexiletine. I've only been on it for a couple of weeks, but it has reduced pain by about 30%.
