Apr 26, 2014 (Started Feb 10, 2011)

  • Effectiveness
    Slight (for psoriasis)
  • Side effects
    Mild (redness)
  • Adherence
    Sometimes
  • Burden
    Very hard to take
Dosage: 0.05 g Daily
Advice & Tips: I think it is to greasy and I just don't like the way it doesn't absorb into my skin but stays wet. Also I have been on this exact same ointment for 3 years and think you should change treatments every 6 months so you don't become used to one or another.

Aug 16, 2013 (Started Aug 12, 2013)

  • Effectiveness
    Moderate (for skin eruptions)
  • Effectiveness
    None (for herpes outbreak)
  • Side effects
    Severe (eczema herpeticum)
  • Adherence
    Usually
  • Burden
Not at all hard to take
Dosage: 2 app Daily
Advice & Tips: I used this cream for the widespread folliculitis on my face and it was coincidental with a massive eruption of impetigo due to undiagnosed eczema herpeticum. I stopped using it immediately and a day later was given antibiotics, and 48 hours later was given anti-virals due to the severity of the symptoms. I can't comment on the cause vs. effect of using this cream but would not use steroid cream again now I know I have HSV.
Cost: $50-99 monthly
