March 2008 I told my GP my right hand starts trembling when I yawn. I did'nt think much of it, but she was very concerned. Sent me to the Neurologist who said I have more than one Parkinson's symtom, but she would like to see the results of a MRI. A brain tumor were then revealed & removed early Oct. Everything went well and praise the Lord it was not malignant. After the operation the symtoms became even worse and I had to go back to my Neurologist. A 2nd Neurologist was called in who confirmed her diagnosis, that I have Parkinson's. I decided to accept, be at peace and manage come what may!
Married for 40 yrs, in December. Three married children, a son and 2 daughters, and six grandchildren. In business with my husband who is a Professional Property Valuer. I am the office manager (managing myself, all the admin and typing etc)! When I was diagnosed they all went in to "clan-mode", standing together and lifting me up. We all feel it is very important to keep your sense of humour, and keep your eyes on the Lord - expecting to stay mobile and flexible, positive and healthy for as long as possible. My hope is that the whole family will not be worried, but will stay tolerant and patient with me !!
