I had a very active life before being dxd but I had balance, fatigue and pain problems from head to toe. I thought I was going crazy because the drs didn't want to say they suspected MS. Then I fell and the next day my right side went numb. It was very scary because I had never experienced anything like that before. The MRI had just come to Colorado Springs and I was dxd with MS. This was before any of the symptom reducing or injections were found. After being dxd my life changed from very active to sedentary. I have RLR MS and it seems to have slowed down now. My husband takes very good care of me and is very supportive. We had been married one year before "the fall" and now we have a new life style which works for us too. I have been on meds for my symptoms and my Neuro doesn't see any lesisions new or old that are getting worse so I am not on the beta shots. I lost eyesight in my right eye twice and was told it would be back in six weeks or it wouldn't but there was nothing they could do. It came back exactly six weeks to the day. I am legally blind from the second time.
I have been very blessed because I have the Lord, friends who pray for me, a wonderful supportive husband and good doctors. I just let it control me instead of trying to fight it because when I do MS wins every time. I take life one day at a time.
