At age fifteen, a man in a bookstore asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Without hesitation, I replied, "Writer." Writer is a title that has driven me both personally and professionally.
As a communications professional, I've been a writer, editor, and educator whose 16 years of experience spans the worlds of corporate, nonprofit, and academia. In my personal life, I like to write novels. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Merrimack College and a Master of Arts degree in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College.
I'm thrilled to join the PatientsLikeMe team because I believe in the company's core values of putting patients first and fostering openness. I also believe in the ability of the data and experiences patients donate to have a transformative impact on the healthcare industry.
I live in the countryside of Massachusetts with my significant other, his son, and two feisty cats. When I'm not a copywriter by day or moonlighting as an indie author, I enjoy being creative in the kitchen, belting out show tunes, traveling, entertaining friends, geeking out over classic literature (especially all things Austen), and scouting out vintage finds at consignment shops.
