About Prednisone (Prescription Drug)

Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that decreases inflammation and suppresses the immune system. It is used for many purposes including relapses in MS, for rheumatic disorders, neoplasms, and collagen diseases. Prednisone is activated by the liver into prednisolone.

It's not as bad as everyone says! It is easy to gain weight on it, but watching calories helps a lot- you realize you're eating more than you used to and can stop it! Didn't get a huge "moonface" this time around. In fact, it's helped with arthritis.
