What is toxocariasis?
Toxocaraisis is an infection caused by the larvae of the Toxocara roundworm. It is transmitted to humans by dogs and cats. Some individuals have ocular symptoms such as vision loss or eye inflammation. Others have constitutional symptoms when major organs are affected but many have no symptoms.
