What is spondyloarthropathy?

Spondyloarthropathy or spondyloarthritis covers a group of closely related inflammatory diseases including arthritis of the spine (sacroiliitis or spondylitis) and peripheral joints; as well as inflammation in the area where ligaments and tendons attach to bones.
