What is indeterminate colitis?

Indeterminate colitis or colonic inflammatory bowel disease unclassified is a condition based on excluding the diagnosis of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. It is a diagnosis used when the diagnostic work-up is unclear if it is Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.
