What is frontotemporal dementia?

Frontotemporal lobe dementia is the degeneration or atrophy of the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. Symptoms include changes in social behavior, insight, and "appropriateness" within different social contexts. Judgement, emotional responsiveness, and language may be affected.
