What is bronchiolitis obliterans?

Bronchiolitis obliterans is constrictive condition where the smallest airway branches (bronchioles) of the lungs become scarred or constricted. This condition can be caused by chemical irritants, respiratory infections, or autoimmune diseases, i.e. rheumatoid arthritis.
