What is Nocardia lung infection?
Pulmonary nocardiosis is an infection of the lung with the bacteria, Nocardia asteroides. Nocardia infection develops when the bacteria is inhaled causing pneumonia-like symptoms. Immunocompromised patients are at risk of nocardia infection.
