What is spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda?

Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda is a genetic condition that impairs bone growth of the spine and the ends of long bones in the arms and legs. It occurs almost exclusively in males and appears later in childhood, typically between ages 6 and 10.
