What is severe combined immunodeficiency disease?

Severe Combine Immune Deficiency is a primary immune deficiency genetic disorder. The defining characteristic is usually a severe defect in both the T- & B-lymphocyte systems, which are impaired due to a defect in one of several possible genes.
