What is granulomatous mastitis?

Granulomatous mastitis is a rare disorder characterized by progressive onset of a breast lump on one side. It is an inflammatory disorder that mimics carcinoma. Treatment typically involves excision of the lump but corticosteroids are also occasionally used.
