What is IgG4-related systemic disease?

IgG4-related systemic disease is a recently recognized systemic syndrome; it may be referred to by other names such as Hyper IgG4 Disease. The condition is characterized by an increase in IgG4-positive plasma cells in the affected tissues affecting organs throughout the body.
