What is sideroblastic anemia?
Sideroblastic anemia is a condition in which bone marrow produces abnormal, malfunctioning sideroblasts rather than normal red blood cells. The sideroblasts are unable to carry hemoglobin. It can be related to myelodysplastic syndrome or other genetic disorders.
