What is anaplasmosis?

Human anaplasmosis refers to infections caused by anaplasma phagocytophilum, a type of rickettsial parasite. It is often transmitted by ticks. Common symptoms may include fever, headache, muscle pain, malaise, chills, nausea / abdominal pain, cough, and rarely, rash.
