What is Jarcho-Levin syndrome?

Jarcho-Levin Syndrome is a rare, inheritable axial skeleton disorder. It is characterized by widespread and sometimes severe malformations of bones of the spinal column (vertebrae), ribs, and thorax, as well as respiratory insufficiency, and/or other abnormalities.
