What is Pierre Robin syndrome?

Pierre Robin syndrome (PRS) is a genetic condition affecting facial features. It is characterized as a smaller than normal jaw, an underdeveloped tongue that falls back in the throat, and a cleft soft palate. Often, this can lead to difficulty with breathing and feeding.
