What is Klebsiella pneumoniae?

Klebsiella pneumonia is an infection of the lungs associated with congestion and fluid accumulation. Typical symptoms might include fever, chills, cough, and chest pain. Often the cough is productive and blood tinged, and described as currant jelly sputum.
